Since we have already gathered for memories, it’s worth to be reminded that the originator of Płock Orlen Polish Open – the tournament in general, not the name itself – is Piotr Jaroszewski. The idea, as you can see, turned out to be excellent. 25 years of presence in the ITF calendar makes a well-deserved impression.
Through the first round of this year’s tournament Jaroszewski passed without undue delay. He defeated Lech Jabłoński, the oldest man in the draw, without dropping a single game, but his current form will be verified by seeded No 7 Kamil Fabisiak, the best Polish player for several years. It may be difficult to find more exciting point of tomorrow’s schedule.
