„Almost” makes a difference

„Almost” makes a difference

They rested a bit, had some meal and returned to the court. There were two opportunities for a rematch in this one tie – one for just finished singles final, the other for the second. On the one hand, Tadeusz Kruszelnicki wanted to take the revange, and on the other, Piotr Jaroszewski, who lost to him two days ago.

In doubles, a simple sum of singles skills is not always enough. A steady hand is also taken into account, the ability to predict what the rival will do in a moment, often flair, and sometimes – as in life – a pinch of luck. Today everything was almost even on both sides of the net. Almost, because Kamil Fabisiak and Piotr Jaroszewski finally beat Geoffrey Jasiak and Tadeusz Kruszelnicki 6:4, 7:5.

Opportunities for next rematches will come soon. It’s probably a matter of days, because new tournament is around the corner.
