Night session

Night session

Not everything can be planned, but you have to try. The participants of the men’s singles main draw knew from the morning that the order of play contains first and second round matches. In order to keep enough energy for the duel deciding about advance to the quarterfinals, they had to treat the first opponent severely.

We have already mentioned Kamil Fabisiak and Tadeusz Kruszelnicki – they managed to win in less than an hour and without dropping a set. The same result was achieved by Piotr Jaroszewski, and ten more lost no more than three games along the way to the second round. Among the seeded, the most wasteful was Jakub Bukała, who paid for promotion with five gems. It’s even logical, because he plays with number 8. In Płock – as in Melbourne or New York – we have a night session. The second round duels are played under artificial light and may last up to midnight. So we wish you a good night, and we will meet the quarterfinalists soon, tomorrow.
